The Falkland Hall Charity (FHC) has purchased an 18th century barn, in the centre of the town to house the archive.
A SELF-SUFFICIENT SOLUTION
The restoration will include a small garden flat, the income from which will ensure the long-term susainability of the archive.
The FHC has covered the cost of the purchase, planning consents, surveys, legal and architect fees. We now need to raise similar funds to carry out the restoration and conversion of the building to an acceptable standard.
The FHC is a registered charity (no. 213532), whose aim is to benefit the people of Burford. Through creating the Burford Community Archive, the charity will have provided a facility and resource that will benefit the people of Burford for generations to come.
